Anne Raafs

Anne Raafs, born in 1994 in Boxmeer, the Netherlands, completed her High School Gymnasium diploma with distinction (cum laude) at the Elzendaal College in Boxmeer in 2012. Hereafter, she started studying Medicine at Maastricht University. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine in 2015, and started her internships in different hospitals in the Netherlands. During the first years of her study, she became resuscitation instructor and was a tutor at Maastricht University in the ‘Health University’ project.
After three years of internships, she completed her Master of Medicine in 2018. During her Master she developed special interest in cardiology, she followed two clinical internships in Cardiology in Zuyderland Hospital Sittard and Radboud University Medical Center Nijmegen, did a 5 month research internship at the Cardiology department at Maastricht University Medical Center (under supervision of Prof. Dr. Brunner-la Rocca) about Cancer and cardiotoxic cancer therapy in patients with heart failure and finished her Medical degree with 5 months of clinical internship in general cardiology at the cardiovascular department of Catharina Hospital in Eindhoven. After her Master, she started working as clinical PhD-student in the research group of Prof. Dr. Heymans.
